We attended a project in Darlington.
To prepare an area for safety flooring with new plywood on half the room and re using existing plywood on the other half.
We fitted 6mm plywood to the new half and feather finished the joints providing a level and perfect subfloor.
As the existing floor underneath the ply was a metal grid computer floor we had to use self tapping screws and adhesive to stick the ply properly.
We then give the existing old ply some attention and feather finished any imperfections in it.
- We returned the night after to fit the safety flooring.
- We buffed the feathered parts and swept the floor thoroughly.
- We supplied F46 pressure sensitive adhesive and applied it to the areas.
- The safety floor we used was WOODFX contract flooring.
- We fitted the drops of safety floor and rolled them to make sure the glue adhered and the floor was totally flat.
- We then thermowelded the joints in the drops and sealed the flooring, leaving the area clean and rubbish free for the client.

As you can see from the photos it makes the canteen area look more warming and welcoming and the client was really pleased.
