At NJL flooring we are very proud to be able to give something back to our community.
Our founders, Nathan and Michael, both grew up on a council estate in Middlesbrough, and know first-hand the challenges and opportunities that come from living in a close-knit community. From the very beginning, they dreamed of building a company that would not only succeed in business, but also give back to the people and places that shaped them.
Now that NJL Flooring is firmly established, we’re proud to regularly invest our time, resources, and energy into supporting our local area. Our aim is simple: to help as many local teams, individuals, projects, and community initiatives as possible. Whether it’s sponsoring grassroots sports clubs, providing materials or funding for community projects, or creating opportunities for young people to gain skills and experience, we’re committed to making a difference.
We believe that every young person deserves the chance to thrive, whether that’s through the discipline and teamwork of sport, or through pathways that open doors to meaningful employment. By working alongside local organisations and individuals, we hope to inspire the next generation, foster pride in our community, and create lasting change that goes far beyond flooring.

Ben Bonner
Having supported Ben since his first bare knuckle fight in 2023, we are proud to still be supporting him as one of his main sponsors, as he continues to climb the ladder in the sport. Now as the new Bare Knuckle Interim Lightweight Champion, we can’t wait to see what he does next!
Harlequins Netball Team
It’s not just football that we support here at NJL Flooring, we also sponsor the Harlequins Netball team, who enjoy playing regularly in their local league.
Hanuman Thai Boxing Club
We actively support Hanuman with up to date fightwear and pads needed to keep their fighters in top shape where all ages are welcome and anyone from a first timer to a club pro is welcome. This helps youngsters with fitness, discipline and learning the art of Muay Thai.
Boro Rangers – First Team
First team – Ebac northern league division 2 champions, currently playing in division one in step 5 of the national league system.
Nicole Henderson – Linthorpe Academicals
NJL Flooring are proud to be sponsoring Nicole Henderson from Linthorpe Academicals FC Women’s team this season!
Evolve
We’re proud to sponsor Evolve Sports Academy to help them deliver sports sessions to the local community. Their sessions are delivered across the North East, and are completely free of charge, with no bookings required.
Duck Race
This year, we sponsored the start of the Stockton Round Table Duck Race, which took place at Tees Barrage! The event was set up to raise vital funds for Daisy Chain and Three13 Training, both of which are very important local charities.
Butterwick Hospice
NJL Flooring are proud to have played our part in some refurbishment upgrades at Butterwick Hospice, a project which has been a huge community effort, and one which will leave a lasting impact on the lives of so many local people and families who use it’s services. The upgrades were made to one of the Hospices’ flats, which means families can spend time with their children in a comfortable and home-like environment.
Billy’s Room
In 2025, we were proud to sponsor a charity football match in aid of Billy’s Room, an incredible cause which helps provide bereaved parents with a calm and comfy place to stay while they spend precious time with their child. Supporting our community is something that we’re hugely passionate about, and we want to say a huge well done to everyone who took part, donated, and cheered from the stands, helping to raise over £7,000!
